Previous drilling experience would be beneficial, however this role is open to anyone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.The position available is working on a 50/50 roster pattern: 7 days on, 7 days off; 7 nights on 7 days off.Key tasks and responsibilities:Operate either a variety of top-hole hammer blasthole drill rigs or Sandvik D45KS rotary drillsEnsure safe and efficient operation of equipment at all timesAchieve agreed production and personal objectivesCarry out pre-start and post operational checks as requiredQualificationsHold Immediate NZ Working rights / Visa Hold a full, clean, current driver’s license and are confident driving a manual vehicleBe able to confidently communicate within a team environmentDrilling experience beneficialHave an interest in heavy machineryBe a safety conscious individual committed to maintaining an excellent safety recordPass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testingAdditional InformationResidential role, live and work in the stunning region of Otago, NZ.7 on 7 off (day/night) lifestyle rosterCompetitive salaryDiscounts on retail and servicesFree Southern Cross Healthcare InsuranceLiving Our Values recognition programOnsite Physiotherapist and nurses suiteFree transport to workStudy assistanceAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Exceptional working environment where people are valued and respectedApplications close 18 December 2025.
