Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, the successful candidate will safely carryout development work while following safe work procedures to provide overall production and safe target support for the Red Lake Madsen Mine team. This position will work a 14 days on and 14 days off schedule.The Focus Of This Role Will IncludeFollow safe working practices and site safety guidelinesAchieve production and development targets by operating equipment to undertake drilling activities in a safe and efficient mannerAssist with other areas of operation such as Service crew, long hole drill and mucking operationUtilize mobile equipment and tools with due consideration for safety and environmental issuesWork collaboratively with mining engineers, geologist and the survey teamUtilize reliable and accurate operational and practical knowledge to minimize downtime and potential loss of productionMaintain work area with excellent standard of housekeeping and hazard identification systemComplete administrative processes on equipmentOther duties as assignedSkills And ExperienceExperience in underground hard rock techniques including level development and installation of ground supportProven knowledge of charging, firing, mucking and trucking of development headingsBe physically fit to work undergroundAbility to work independentlyExcellent proven team player approach to workValid driver’s licenseHigh School Diploma an assetConditional offers based on successful criminal background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol test.Red Lake Madsen Mine is an equal opportunity employer who appreciates all those interested in working on this exciting project.
