Mineral Resources Manager

Undertake and ensure accuracy in the estimation of orebody grade and resources tonnages using statistical and geostatistical methods. Participate in due diligence reviews.Qualifications and Experience:BSc Degree in GeologySurvey, Rock Engineering and Mine Planning experience essentialExtensive geological orebody modelling and estimation software experience Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in mineral resource evaluation and managementMinimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in the mining industryExtensive knowledge of mining operations with a focus on resource optimization in an open cast mineProven track record in successful project management, demonstrating expertise in addressing various mining challenges and a comprehensive understanding of SA’s mining regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skillsDuties:Resource Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive mineral resource assessments and provide strategic recommendations for optimal extractionOperational Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance mining operations and resource utilization efficiencyProject Planning: Lead and contribute to the planning and execution of mineral resource projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulationsRisk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with resource extraction, ensuring safe and sustainable practicesCollaboration: Work closely with Geologists, Mining Engineers and other stakeholders to maximize the value of mineral resourcesReporting: Prepare accurate and timely reports on mineral resource estimates, contributing to informed decision makingEmail your CV to chrisna@bauba.co.za to apply today
