Job DescriptionTe Haeata/The OpportunityWe have two permanent full tine Advisor, Ministerial Correspondence opportunities available, based at the Justice Centre, Wellington. To be successful, you will need to have exceptional communication skills, an understanding of the Machinery of Government, a sophisticated risk radar and the ability to be resilient and work as part of a team. As an Advisor, Ministerial Correspondence, you will be responsible for providing timely, comprehensive and tailored Ministerial services, including the release of information to Ministers and the public, and responses to Parliamentary, interagency, and public requests for information. This includes managing, processing, and drafting responses to requests for information and drafting responses to Ministerial correspondence. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Ministry to ensure that responses meet statutory requirements, align to publicly available information, and are issued within relevant timeframes.

You will also work with other members of the team to identify and manage the response to complex and sensitive communications requests. This role is a busy and challenging , so will require candidates who are flexible, calm and can multi-task. You will be joining a supportive and enthusiastic team who have a genuine interest in sharing knowledge and supporting one another in an enjoyable, busy and sometimes challenging environment.
