Job DescriptionCome join the Ministry's People Experience Team (PX) as we kick off an exciting new chapter, with the launch of a newly established Culture and Capability team, supported by dedicated organisational development and learning and development functions. These initiatives are part of a bold strategy and action plan focused on building a high-performing team and shaping the future capability of the organisation. Te Haeata/The OpportunityAs Senior Advisor Learning and Development (L&D), you'll play a key role in shaping a culture of continuous learning and development.

This is a chance to make this role your own, through learning focused on leadership development, Māori Crown relations capabilities, core professional skills, organisation culture, employee experience and diversity, equity and inclusion. Part of a small enterprise L&D team, this opportunity would suit a learning and development superstar who is excited to:

Take a lead role in the implementation of our new enterprise L&D strategy and action planProvide high-level advice to the business to identify effective learning solutions to meet their requirementsInfluence and enhance our internal L&D community of practiceSource, design, develop, deliver, evaluate and report on enterprise-level learning programmes and impactsRole model culturally affirming practices through your approaches and relationships; andSupport the operational delivery of learning events. Ō Pūkenga/Skills And ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

Extensive experience and expertise across the learning and development lifecycleExperience implementing a range of learning solutions to a wide variety of audiences including different role types, neurodiversity and a range of lived experiencesProven ability to make strategic connections to align learning with organisational goalsA commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an understanding of te ao Māori me ōna tikanga MāoriUnderstanding and appreciation of cross-cultural worldviews and how this translates to a learning contextPractical experience with learning management systems (ideally Totara Learn), authoring tools and wizardry with Microsoft Office products including MS Teams and SharePointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent relationship management skills; andPersonal qualities such as a growth mindset, curiosity, creativity, adaptability, patience, tenacity and a sense of humour.
