Job DescriptionSigmatech is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill a Mission Protection Engineer position in Colorado Springs. This position supports Space Operations Command's Delta 9, and STARCOM's Delta 12 Operational and Test missions.In this position, the mission protection engineer will be responsible for:Identifying new and evolving threats for current and future space-based capabilitiesAnalyzing denial/deception and Perception Management techniqueMonitoring foreign and domestic space assets to aid in operational and tactical space domain awarenessMonitoring foreign and domestic space domain awareness capabilities (i.e Governmental Satellite Observers, Blue Force, Non-Governmental Satellite Observers, and International Space Observer Network)Protecting the sensitive aspects of missions and/or space system capabilities through the analysis of intelligence data and coordination with external organizationsDeveloping, managing, and implementing procedures to mitigate compromise of mission attributesDeveloping findings and recommendations using orbital analysis tools like Satellite Tool Kit (STK) to create scenarios for pre/post mission analysis and briefingsDeveloping Pre/Post engagement assessments for:Probability of DetectionProbability of AttributionRiskMission EffectivenessRequiredRequired Experience:BS in a technical/analytical field preferred8 yrs of space operations experience and/or Intelligence experience (with emphasis on space/space systems)Extensive experience with Microsoft toolsAdvanced briefing and writing skillsNote: Additional space operations / orbital warfare experience may be considered in lieu of educationAbility to analyze both open source information and Intelligence Community reporting and studies (NSA Pulse, CIA WIRE, NASIC, DIA).Experience with Satellite Tool Kit used to create scenarios for pre/post mission analysis and briefings.Previous Special Access Program experience desiredCounter-intelligence polygraph preferredIn compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $120,000 to $135,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.EEO employerKeyword: mission protection, intel
