Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of our network infrastructure and systems. This role involves proactive issue detection, troubleshooting complex incidents, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high availability and performance of mission-critical services. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor network and system performance using advanced NOC tools, identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
Respond to and troubleshoot complex network, server, and application alerts in a timely manner. Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and develop long-term solutions. Coordinate and escalate incidents to relevant technical teams when required. Oversee implementation of network changes, upgrades, and maintenance schedules. Develop and update NOC operational procedures, best practices, and documentation. Ensure adherence to SLAs for incident response and resolution. Mentor and guide junior NOC engineers, providing technical leadership and training. Collaborate with other IT teams on network design, optimization, and capacity planning. Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response situations as needed.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum 5–7 years of experience in network operations, system administration, or related IT roles, with at least 2 years in a senior/lead capacity. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewall management. Experience with NOC monitoring tools (e. g. , SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios). Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server administration. Knowledge of ITIL framework and incident/change management processes.
Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and reporting are a plus. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging technologies.
