Mukti Cox's Bazar is looking for Monitoring and Database SpecialistContext :Mukti Cox’s Bazar, with technical support from FAO, is implementing the EU-funded PROACT Bangladesh project titled “Promoting Nutrition-Sensitive Farming, Toxin-Free Dried Fish Production, and Strengthening Market Access and Value Chains” in Cox’s Bazar Sadar, Ramu, Ukhiya, and Teknaf. The initiative aims to improve food security, nutrition, and income through climate-smart agriculture, toxin-free dried fish processing, and homestead gardening. It will establish aggregation centers to boost market access and provide business and financial literacy training to empower smallholder farmers, especially women. With 30+ years of experience and 3,028 staff, Mukti ensures inclusive, resilient, and impactful programming aligned with FAO’s strategic goals.Purpose of job:The Monitoring and Database Specialist is responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining vigorous data systems to track project activities, outputs, and outcomes. This role ensures accurate, timely, and secure collection, storage, and analysis of data—particularly related to dry fish workers, processors, training sessions, and enterprise development. The specialist supports evidence-based decision-making by producing actionable insights, maintaining clean datasets (e.g., via Kobo platform), and generating reports for stakeholders including FAO and the Department of Fisheries. Their work is critical to ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all project components. Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Monitoring, Reporting and Database Management supports the targeted areas following project proposal and guidance of FAO & Mukti Cox’s Bazar management to achieve the project objectives.Coordinate with Project Focal and M&E Director in project management and M&E related activities.Prepare M&E related reports on different activities and submit them to management.Recommends, approves, and implements policies, procedures, and schedules within limits of authority.Conduct regular field visits to monitor and verify the activities’ progress and quality. Support and monitor the project beneficiaries’ selection process: CCM, HH survey, CRM, Beneficiary data analysis, etc. and finalized the project beneficiaries list. Monitor the data quality and ensure data quality.Provide adequate support and necessary guidance in organizing different training, meetings, orientation and others field level events.Identify potential market actors, various entrepreneurs, dealers, retailers, lead firms.Implement a variety of market linkage and business development activities related to various IGAs.Assess and improve skills and competencies of livelihood related entrepreneurs of business skills such as livelihood, financial literacy, marketing, supply chain linkages, public sector linkages and technical capacity, etc.Capacity to liaise closely with the relevant private sector (SMEs, associations, specialized organizations), government bodies, (I) NGOs and other projects at district/sub-district levels.Develop women led enterprises, CBOs, Cooperative, VSLA and value Chain of project produced commodities.Any other duties as per project and organization requirement.Safeguarding: Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program's objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding & Child protection for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.Educational RequirementsMastersMaster’s degree in Statistics/ Economics/ Agriculture/ Development Studies/ Social science/ Geography/Urban Planning or equivalent discipline from any recognized University. Experience Requirements· At least 8 years of experience and more than 5 years experience in Monitoring, Reporting and Database Management. Ability to work hard, work under pressure, positive and can-do attitude and ability to understand local language. Self-motivated, independent of the ability to perform multi-task. Sound knowledge of essential software like MS Word and MS Excel related to data entry. Knowledge in gender focused approach to development and resilience.· Expertise on undertaking and follow up monitoring to ensure that proposed mitigation measures are implemented according to an agreed upon environmental and social mitigation implementation plan. Proven understanding and knowledge on development sector including work related to program and budget planning/monitoring activities. Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities. Ensure that gender and inclusion issues are properly considered and resourced in all of our work. Experience in organizing knowledge and learning sharing events involving community, practitioners and researchers and policy makers. Strong communication, report writing and presentation skill in Bangla and English. Demonstrated capacity to work with teams. Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills in Bangla and English; knowledge of Rohingya dialect is an asset. Job LocationCox`s BazarSalaryTk. 60000 - 65000 (Monthly)
