About the companyA prominent leader in the Aviation sector is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement, to lead end-to-end procurement of aircraft and engines. About the roleReporting to the CEO, you will be responsible to negotiate key contractual terms, drive aircraft and engine acquisition deals, lead cross-functional procurement projects across global time zones. ResponsibilitiesLead the procurement of aircraft and engines by formulating and executing strategies aimed at minimizing total ownership costs, with a primary focus on ensuring the successful completion of acquisition initiatives. Negotiate critical contractual terms, including purchase agreements (PAs), engine supply contracts, maintenance reserves, and warranty provisions.
Collaborate closely with Commercial and Technical teams to align asset acquisitions with operational requirements, delivery timelines, and technical specifications. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and developments related to Boeing, Airbus, and broader aviation manufacturing practices. Drive negotiations for aircraft and engine acquisitions, both purchases and leases, directly with OEMs such as Airbus, Boeing, and leading engine manufacturers. Manage and nurture long-term relationships with OEMs, lessors, and key suppliers to ensure adherence to performance standards and delivery commitments. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation, Supply Chain, or Business; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
At least 15 years of experience in aircraft or engine procurement, or asset management, within the leasing, airline, or OEM sectors. Demonstrated expertise in negotiating with OEMs and engine manufacturers. Strong commercial insight and advanced contract negotiation skills. In-depth knowledge of aircraft and engine models, technical specifications, and maintenance cycles. Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration capabilities. Proven ability to manage multiple procurement projects across international time zones.
