Job Description

We are looking for a backend / full stack (ideally) application developer with web-based front-end (HTML5/JavaScript/CSS/React) and backend (Java/Spring) expertise who helps us to design and develop scalable and robust web applications that supports the Credit Risk department. The system is a complex distributed global platform with a rich user interface, communicating with backend services primarily written in Java. Credit Risk IT has adopted agile methodology as part of firm's shift away from traditional waterfall approach.

Teamwork and structure is set in lines with agile - with strong collaboration with the Scrum Master, Product Owner and Chapter lead. This position covers two separate openings within the Credit Risk team. While the roles are identical in terms of scope and expectations, each hire will join a different subteam. Design, develop scalable and maintainable applications and APIs (Java, React)Integrate Workflow services and other teams APIs as neededImplement and maintain databases (SQL or NoSQL), including schema design and optimizationPerform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peersMaintain and enhance automated test suites, deployment pipelines and documentationPerform testing, and coordinate deployments to testing and production environmentsRespond to user feedback and support requests, troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a timely mannerParticipate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and horizontal design forumsCollaborate closely with other workflow team members and leads on cross-cutting product featuresStay updated with new technologies, frameworks, and agile methodologiesYou have:

Strong understanding of Modern Application Design including Microservices architectureStrong Java knowledgeSolid understanding of REST APIsHands-on experience with relational DBs with SQL skillsExcellent analytical ability, strong problem-solving, and debugging skillsStrong collaboration and communication skillsExperience with DevOps and deployment pipelines, containerizationNice to have: Experience with modern UI technologies (React / Redux preferred), UX designExperience with Spring BootHands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databasesExperience in Automated testing frameworks, TDD / BDDTeam Profiles: Credit Risk is the risk of loss to a lender or investor due to the borrower's default or inability to fulfill the terms of a financial contract.

Credit Risk Limits and Approvals team provides technology solutions focused on Credit Risk limits: implementing workflows to set and maintain them and maintaining systems to monitor them against counterparty exposures at various levels and entities. The team also owns a number of other business solutions including daily task management, approvals, authority entitlements, credit portfolio reporting in close collaboration with business partners. Credit Risk IT team in Budapest provides technology solutions focused around Credit Risk area.

Workflow Transformation is a strategic program aimed at greatly improving efficiency of day to day periodic credit review business functions like limit management, loan approval or ratings. The application being developed enables systematic data capture and automates manual workflows. We are looking for a backend application developer Java / Spring Boot expertise who helps us to develop web applications which supports periodic credit review business functions. Credit Risk IT has adopted agile methodology as part of firm's shift away from traditional waterfall approach.
