Based in Tokyo, this individual will work collaboratively with global and regional teams to drive our day-to-day Internal and External Communications functions, cultivating employee engagement internally and ensuring the Firm's narratives are accurately and positively represented externally. Key ResponsibilitiesCreate corporate communications content, including press releases, talking points, internal memos and articles in both English and JapaneseReview internal- and external-facing materials (e. g.
emails, corporate brochures, annual reports, client letters) to ensure consistency with Firm guidelinesAssist with and manage day-to-day media requests and support media relations initiativesMonitor and analyze press coverage and create a daily press clips summarySupport internal communications initiatives to engage employees, including drafting and editing internal stories and managing in-house eventsWork in collaboration with the Firmwide Marketing team and stakeholders on the Firm’s marketing/branding-related contentQualifications, Skills And RequirementsStrong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and EnglishUniversity graduate with a minimum of five-years work experienceExperience in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, investor relations, writing or other relevant disciplines preferredBanking/financial services sector experience an advantageStrong competency in writing and editing in both Japanese and EnglishStrong project planning and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities to meet deadlinesProactive self-starter, collaborative and flexible team playerCreative, with a passion for building a positive and engaged company cultureMature, and capable of maintaining confidentialityAbility to build strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholdersStrong research skills with attention to detailWhy Morgan Stanley?A career with Morgan Stanley means being part of an inclusive culture that encourages diverse perspectives, innovation, and cross-collaboration to bring value to our clients.
