Morse Micro is looking for an Assistant Accountant to play a pivotal role in our Finance Team as we continue to scale and grow.
In this role, you will support our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions, and contributing to the overall financial health of Morse Micro. Responsibilities include: Processing accounts payable and receivable transactionsPreparing balance sheet reconciliations Maintaining fixed assets registers Assisting in the preparation of management financial statements and reportsPreparing payroll and related tasks for the companiesSupporting month-end and year-end close processesEnsuring compliance with company policies Collaborating with the finance team on various ad hoc projectsPreparing BAS statement and other statutory reports What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field1-3 years of accounting experience (experience in tech or start-up environments is a plus)Strong understanding of accounting principles and practicesProficiency in accounting software (e. g. Xero) and Microsoft ExcelExperience with payroll processing is a plus Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWhat we offer:
