Site Architect

Job Title: Site Architect (Construction - 12-Month Contract) Location: Finland (Site-based with possible hybrid flexibility) Espoo ,Kirkkonummi and Vihti Contract Duration: 12 months (Fixed-Term) Sector: Construction / Building Projects Start Date: ASAP Employment Type: Contract (Full-time) About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Site Architect to join our on-site delivery team for a major construction project in Finland. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract offering hands-on involvement in the coordination, monitoring, and delivery of complex building works.

As a Site Architect, you will act as the architectural point of contact on-site, ensuring design intent is delivered accurately, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and engineers, and overseeing compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities: Act as architectural lead on-site, ensuring design implementation aligns with approved drawings and specifications. Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors, and engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate construction delivery. Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs (requests for information). Monitor construction progress, resolve design conflicts, and conduct regular site inspections.

Ensure compliance with local Finnish building regulations, health and safety standards, and project quality benchmarks. Report on architectural progress, issues, and design deviations to the project manager and design team. Participate in construction meetings, ensuring architectural concerns are communicated and resolved. Support handover process, including snagging and final inspections. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors or Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience in architectural roles within the construction or building sector. Previous site-based experience on commercial, residential, or industrial building projects. Strong understanding of construction processes, detailing, and building systems.

Familiarity with Finnish building codes and European construction standards is desirable. Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently on a construction site in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in English knowledge of Finnish is a plus but not essential.
