Further information is available at www. mcicoach. com. Position SummaryTo lead the Materials Department to World Class. This position is responsible for materials planning associated with the Materials department.

The Materials Planner will improve the department and themselves through training and continuing education. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Coordinate planning for materials departmentCoordination for processing materials to POU location by requirement dateResponsible for inventory accuracy and achieving inventory goalsResponsible for maintaining sub-inventoriesResponsible for MRP; work MRP messages and monitor daily OAS (order action summary)Responsible for discrete job accuracy; maintaining accuracy of 500 series requirements and accuracy of reject requirementsResponsible for work orders being released to manufacturing on a timely basis; ensure release planned orders to release datesEnsure all aspects of the MRB processes are followedEnsure accurate implementation of Engineering Change Orders to released jobsEnsure the accuracy of data entered in the systemEnsure compliance to ISO Procedures, work instructions, 5P's and promote continuous improvement within the departmentEnsure materials planning in the following key areas:

responsible for make IR process, communication to other plants, monitor and reduce obsolete to zero, ensure gateways and bowling alleys are empty at the end of each shift, monitor and reduce past due demand to zero, reduce negatives to zero, new work order package are delivered daily, shop orders are released to start date, review daily dispatch list, release planned orders to release date, correct materials in shop order BOM as required, adjust shop order quantities increase/decreases as required, ensure close jobs are auctioned daily, work shop order process to completion stagesWork with capacity planning to find under/overloads to determine if outsourcing or level loading is required; update weekly capacity chartsMonitor and track parts status prior to and during production buildAttend and participate in departmental toolbox meetingsAssist in the development, communication and deployment of policies, guidelines and tools to Assist in reducing obsolete inventoryAssist the materials team and leadership in achieving the budget in materials, supplies, salary/indirect labor, overtime, and operational expensesDrive continuous improvement in the supply base in support of business objectivesDrive the reduction of inventory adjustmentsPromote and facilitate lean manufacturing / 5's programs for materials.

Work with Manufacturing Engineers to keep routing updatePrepare and publish past due measurement KPI'sMaintain a safe work environment; adhere to safety policies, procedures and processes. Other duties as assignedRequirementsWHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 3-5 years previous experienceManufacturing experienceAPICS Certification or currently enrolled in APICS program. Analytical skills, multi-tasking, team player and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
