Program Manager

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is a global business engaged in the shipping sector. Present in 155 countries, MSC facilitates international trade between the world’s major economies, and among emerging markets across all continents. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, since 1978, MSC is a privately-owned organization driven by the Aponte family. Since the end of 2022, we have started developing a new MSC Air Cargo solution in response to customer demand and as a complementary service to its container shipping solutions. To support the growth of MSC Air Cargo activities, we are looking for a Program Manager.

This position is a pivotal role responsible for providing governance, and strategic oversight across all projects and programs within the company. This role ensures alignment of project initiatives with organizational objectives, driving value creation, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the enterprise. The successful candidate will build and manage a high-performing program management office (PMO) to support the project management activities as well as lead on 'ad hoc' initiatives, to shape the company’s project portfolio to deliver on strategic priorities. YOUR IMPACTAs Program Manager you will:

Develop and execute the company’s program and project management strategy to support business objectives. Provide enterprise-level oversight of all ongoing and proposed projects, ensuring alignment with organizational vision, goals, and resources. Design, implement, and refine PMO processes, standards, and frameworks to enhance delivery, quality, and consistency across all projects. Partner with executives and business leaders to manage the project portfolio. Monitor project and program performance, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and optimizing outcomes. Drive adoption of best practices in project management methodologies tailored to business needs.

Establish accurate and transparent reporting mechanisms for project status, financials, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Assist in change management and communication initiatives to facilitate successful project adoption across the organization. Continuously assess industry trends and emerging tools to enhance the company’s project management capabilities. YOUR BACKGROUNDBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Project Management, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in program or project management, including experience in a leading role overseeing complex portfolios. Proven track record of driving transformation and delivering results. Strong knowledge of project/program management tools (e. g. , MS Project, Monday.

com, Asana, or equivalent). PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
