As part of this transformational journey, the College is seeking a creative, innovative, and strategic videographer to help tell our story in compelling and meaningful ways.The Multimedia/Videographer will produce high-quality video content that engages both internal and external audiences through effective storytelling. This role plays a key part in elevating Broward College’s message, bringing micro-messaging to life through captivating short-form content and multimedia pieces that highlight student success, institutional milestones, and community impact.This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans’ Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295. Certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.Applicants claiming preference are responsible for providing required documentation at the time of submitting application.For information on obtaining a DD 214 visit http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/ or call 1-866-272-6272.Essential FunctionsDevelop and produce video content that informs, inspires, and engages viewers across a variety of platforms, including college website, social media, and digital campaigns.Collaborate with college stakeholders to identify stories that reflect Broward College’s mission, student success outcomes, and strategic priorities.Plan and execute video shoots, including scripting, filming, lighting, sound, and directing talent.Edit and finalize video projects, incorporating music, narration, graphics, and visual effects to ensure quality and alignment with college branding.Communicate complex messages through concise, compelling visual storytelling tailored to various audience segments.Partner with Marketing & Communications team members to align video content with campaign goals and messaging strategies.Manage digital assets including the college’s video library, YouTube channel, and archives.Stay informed about trends and emerging technologies in video production, recommending innovative approaches to enhance storytelling and reach.Minimum Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Minimum of four (4) years of video production experience, including shooting, editing, and publishing multimedia content.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExpertise in video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, etc.) and familiarity with filming equipment, lighting setups, and audio capture.Ability to create visually engaging, high-impact micro-videos that deliver a clear message in a short timeframe.Strong storytelling skills with the ability to convey emotion, relevance, and purpose through video content.Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.Creative thinker who can generate fresh ideas and bring them to life within institutional branding guidelines.Professionalism and adaptability when working with internal departments, leadership, students, and external vendors.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Commitment to high standards of quality and continuous improvement in alignment with the College’s vision.Our CultureAt Broward College, our leaders embody a culture of competence, care, character, composure, and courage.
