Multiplayer Game DeveloperLocation: On-site Employment Type: Full Time Experience Level: Mid Level Job Summary:We are seeking a talented and passionate Multiplayer Game Developer to join our game development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building networked multiplayer systems and gameplay mechanics using game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine. You will work closely with designers, artists, and other developers to deliver engaging and scalable multiplayer experiences. Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain multiplayer features including real-time networking, matchmaking, and server-client communication.Implement authoritative game server logic to prevent cheating and ensure game state consistency.Optimize multiplayer gameplay for low latency and high reliability across various devices and platforms.Collaborate with UI/UX designers, artists, and backend engineers to ensure seamless gameplay experiences.Write clean, modular, and well-documented code.Troubleshoot, test, and debug multiplayer features during development and after release.Monitor server performance and scalability, and implement solutions for load balancing and synchronization.Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in multiplayer game development. Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in game development with at least one published multiplayer game.Proficiency in C# with Unity or C++ with Unity.Strong understanding of network programming, multithreading, client-server architecture, and UDP/TCP protocols.Familiarity with matchmaking, lobby systems, and network synchronization.Experience with backend systems such as Photon, Mirror, PlayFab, or custom socket servers.Ability to write clean and efficient code with a focus on performance and maintainability. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of game physics, animations, and AI in multiplayer environments.Passion for games and strong problem-solving skills.
