We're seeking a strategic and people-focused District Sales Manager for the Madison, South Dakota territory. Join us!Job SummaryThe District Sales Manager (DSM) cultivates relationships and sales within their defined territory. A District Sales Manager will work closely with dealers, farmers, co-workers, their supervisor, and other professionals.

Duties/ResponsibilitiesWorking knowledge of Mustang Seeds portfolio and programs. Provide education to both potential and existing customers through one-on-one opportunities and by attending events. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and dealerships. Offer exceptional customer service by understanding customer operations and needs. Make recommendations for product selection and placement based on agronomic and operation needs. Work closely with Sales Manager to develop a sales plan to achieve and exceed sales, personal, and company goals. Submit requested reports to your supervisor in a timely manner. Reports will include expense, sales, goal review, etc.

Assist Business Development and Sales Manager to identify and recruit new dealerships to increase sales and distribution to maximize sales in assigned territory. Monitor and report activity specific to your territory, i. e. , territory conditions, product performance, competitor activity, customer events, etc. Attend and participate in sales meetings, training opportunities, company events, and customer events. Assist in seed delivery and returns. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work independently while being part of a well-functioning sales team. Time management, being detail-orientated and organization skills are crucial for success.

Must be comfortable making cold calls and building a territory. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM system. Able to effectively operate a motor vehicle and can comprehend and apply local driving laws. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and meet company driving regulation requirements. Education And ExperienceA Bachelor of Science or a Technical Degree in Agronomy, Ag Business or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years' experience in agriculture sales, preferred. A CDL or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire, is required. Physical RequirementsExtensive daily travel is required.

Must be able to effectively operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to occasionally lift 65 pounds.
