Job Description Carry out the structural design process determining the structural system for Geothermal and Solar Energy projects and other industrial plant projects,Create preliminary site layouts using topographic and site constraint map data,Produce preliminary engineering documents and related material for estimating purposes,Design of foundation systems for utility scale onshore wind turbines,Design of common foundation systems and geotechnical aspects of design,Prepare Bill of Quantities and draft the bid packages, specifications, scope of work,Create and distribute RFPs to potential vendors, suppliers or subcontractors, establish evaluation metrics,Evaluation of pre-market design concepts for geothermal and solar energy structural support systems,Manage relationships with various equipment vendors, contractors, and third-party engineering firms,Prepare and/or Review of design drawings and calculations for Geothermal and Solar Energy structures including foundations and superstructure systems,Conduct value engineering studies to achieve design optimization,Have a good understanding of structural design and construction process,Co-operate with various disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architectural etc.) within a multidisciplinary design & construction process,Review and comment vendor drawings and shop drawings,Support preparation of project budget based upon quotes and bids; track project costs,Support Development of project timeline, identification of critical path and key milestones for project’s success,Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks, and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact,Maintaining records and databases,Provide technical support and guidance, solving on site problems,Conduct site visit and assessments to support preliminary design and site selection efforts, including constructability reviews,Communicate technical aspects of a project with other disciplines in the department.Qualifications Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering,Proven track record of 3+ years of Solar Power Plant or Geothermal Power Plant and Building Construction experience,Structural engineering design or research experience of foundations and structural systems,Proficiency in ASCE 7, AISC, Euro Code and other common structural design codes,Proficiency in SAP2000 and/or other structural analysis programs,Proficiency in reinforced concrete and steel structures,Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills,Self-disciplined and result-oriented,Fluent in Turkish and English is a prerequisite,Flexibility to travel to project sites in various locations whenever necessary.Excellence in MS Office (Project, Word, Excel etc.)Travel to construction site is minimal but may be required up to several weeks when site activities necessitate it.
