We are seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Business Continuity/Recovery to join our Markets Resilience Team. This role can be located in Lake Mary, FL, Pittsburgh, PA, – Hybrid. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Delivery of annual requirements of the Business Continuity Lifecycle including business impact analysis, recovery strategies, and business continuity testingPreparation and execution of technology disaster recovery and data center rotation exercisesMaintenance of incident management playbooks and helping drive the continuous improvement of the incident management process for MarketsProvide support during high priority incidentsProvide support on managing third-party engagements and the associated resiliency requirements for those third partiesAssist in ensuring Markets is meeting both client and regulatory requirements related to business continuity and incident management.
This includes providing training and awareness on required deliverables, tracking and monitoring for completion, conducting quality assurance reviews and reporting back to management, as required. Contributes to cross-functional efforts to promote a strong business continuity & recovery culture throughout the organizationSupports the cross-company resiliency coordinator and administrator network embedded within the business, operations and engineering to ensure BNY is meeting both client and regulatory requirements related to resilience, business continuity and disaster recoveryProvides training and awareness on required deliverables, tracking and monitoring for completion, conducting quality assurance reviews and reporting back to management, as requiredNo direct reports.
Minimum RequirementsBachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required3-5 years of operational resilience, business continuity, incident & crisis management experience or related experienceAbility to develop strategic relationships with business partners to gain support for cross functional initiativesAbility to work independently communicate effectively and manage complex projectsStrong knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to operational resilience and business continuityPreferred Qualifications7-10 years of total work experience preferredPrior experience in the financial services industry preferredDRII Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP), BCI Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) or similar certificationAt BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
