JOB PURPOSE: To develop the overall strategy, vision, long-term plans, and budgets for the assigned category, along with monitoring its performance, and managing a large portfolio of own brands as well as co-packed items to drive sales and achieve targets. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic Contribution Direct the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and implement the strategic agenda of the Sales Support Dept. to deliver Nadec's vision and mission. Ensure that the strategy is translated into operational business plans for Sales Support and monitor the performance.
Leadership Direct the activities of the Sales Support team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, and in line with the strategic project management plans, policies, and procedures. Build and lead a motivated, engaged, and competent team, by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals. Serve as a role model to ensure employeesâ awareness and commitment to Nadec's vision, mission, values, fundamentals, and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated team and continuously improve performance.
Budgeting Lead the preparation of the department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon. Core Accountabilities Develop a vision, strategic direction, and policy for category Management that will enable the company to develop and project the companyâs brand image to enable development of the category.
Develop brand plans and budgets for different categories to differentiate the brand from other brands in the market to achieve the annual sales and gross margin targets in existing and new markets. Monitor the performance of the brand for different categories to track actual performance from production to the market shelf against the Brand plan and take corrective action to ensure growth in sales and market share. Supervise all Sales Promotions campaigns to execute all Brand Plans in line with NADECâs objectives to boost category growth and increase trials.
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, securing favorable terms and conditions. Oversee product assortment planning and pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market share. Support the Production, R&D, Marketing, and Sales teams in identifying and developing new or modified products through brand studies to achieve the category sales and gross margin objectives to introduce new products to the market. Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats based on the Manager - Category recommendation, market conditions, and competitor products/activity and implement brand planning to ensure implementation of the plans.
Provide all the needed support to the marketing team to develop unique selling propositions and targeted marketing communications to increase brand awareness and overall equity. Ensure that Brand Management is executed in line with international standards so that management decision-making is based on sound brand methodology to ensure competitiveness in the market. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations, to achieve category goals. Track and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in category management.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Manage the development and implementation of the Marketing & Development/Category Dept. policies, systems, processes, and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement, to ensure efficient and effective operation. Ensure compliance with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures, and instructions related to all relevant regulatory directives to ensure a safe and risk-free environment. Change Management Motivate the employees and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices considering global best practices.
Ensure that all departmental reports and statements are completed timely and comply with local and international principles of governance and the organizationâs policies and standards. JOB CONTEXT Sr. Manager - Marketing, will be working from NADEC offices and might have to travel as and when needed. Working closely with other Marketing teams and Protein sales in KSA in the future in the GCC markets and MENA regions to gain accurate, timely, and reliable information about the local consumer preferences, needs, and category market share to make changes in the brand image and exploit market opportunities. Internal Department (Within NADEC) Innovation, Legal, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and any relevant department External External Customers / Companies / Clients (Outside NADEC) Consultants and service vendors as per business needs QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Education and Certifications Bachelorâs Degree is required in Marketing or related field. Master's Degree or professional certificate is preferred, MBA or CBM. Experience: 7-12 years of relevant experience in FMCG Brand Management & Development, Consumer Analysis, Marketing or Sales. Experience with meat and protein categories is essential. Skills: Good managerial skills, innovation, good interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and good presentation skills.
