Based in Victoria (Derrimut or Dandenong South) under a Hybrid working arrangement, forming part of a supportive, values-driven team and reporting directly to the Manager: Channel Development, your role as Business Development Manager will be to grow the Produce Channel (Fruit & Veg).Your RoleDevelop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve growth targets, expanding CHEP’s market presence in key territories and sectors.Proactively identify and secure high-value new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship-building, ensuring a strong sales pipeline and conversion.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service) to design and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and align with CHEP’s value proposition.Continuously monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies, capitalize on growth opportunities, and enhance CHEP’s positioning.Prepare and present detailed business development reports, forecasts, and strategic updates to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and growth initiatives.What makes you the Best Fit:Proven experience in B2B Sales (Business Development): preferably in Fresh Produce, FMCG or Supply Chain / Industrial sectors.Sales & Negotiation Skills: able to influence decision-makers, create win-win solutions and close high-value deals.Market Research & Business Development: Identifying new business opportunities and assessing potential markets.Commercial Acumen: understanding how businesses operate and how financial decisions impact profitability.Stakeholder Management: proactively build relationships with senior decision makers & collaborate with various internal teams (Finance, Sales, Operations) to achieve the best outcomes.Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking: finding innovative ways to help customers improve their Supply Chain.Demonstrates solid computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
