The NFL Media office located in Inglewood, CA is looking for a part-time Production Assistant. This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Production and be involved in all aspects of studio-based shows.
Essential FunctionsWork closely with show Producers, Segment Producers and Highlights Supervisor on a daily basis to support content created for daily studio programmingWork in edit bays - responsible for producing various elements for shows with editorsTranscribing interviews, press conferences, and other related soundResponsible for watching a game and producing multiple highlights for various studio showsResponsible for archiving important video, teleprompting shows and other various tasks related to productionMust be able to respond quickly under tight deadlines and adapt to changing prioritiesGood communication and writing skills are requiredDaily adherence to established production schedules to meet deadlinesA team attitude is mandatory in all tasks requested from the smallest to largestRequired Education And ExperienceStrong NFL knowledge (present day & historical)Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skillsAbility to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for all NFL storiesStrong understanding of editing and on-air graphics systemsStrong writing skillsAbility to perform basic statistical and info-based researchPreferred Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism or equivalent experience in a related field Previous professional experience in a TV production environment is strongly preferredBasic understanding of linear editing and on-air graphics systemsOther Key Attributes / CharacteristicsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects at once and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to establish open communication and perform well under pressureA team-oriented attitude on all tasks, from the largest to smallestTravelSome travel may be required during key events (5%)Terms / Expected Hours of Work Work no more than 29 hours/weekOvernight, weekend and holiday hours are commonly expectedOvertime may be required during the busiest times of the seasonSalary / Pay RangeThis job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job.
