Position: Lighting Fixtures and Electrical ExpertWe are seeking a Lighting Fixtures and Electrical Expert to lead the design, installation, and configuration of professional lighting systems for our projects. This role covers the full cycle , from interpreting CAD-based lighting designs and fixture layouts to overseeing installation, programming control systems, and ensuring the finished solution meets project requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in lighting control technologies, fixture selection, and electrical integration, with hands-on experience delivering complete lighting solutions. Key Responsibilities: Interpret detailed CAD-based lighting designs, including fixture layouts, wiring diagrams, and control system schematics.
Select appropriate fixtures, accessories, and control equipment based on project requirements. Lead the installation and alignment of lighting fixtures, ensuring safe rigging and correct electrical connections. Program and configure lighting control systems (DMX, DALI, 0–10V, or similar). Conduct on-site testing, calibration, and commissioning to meet design specifications. Coordinate with contractors, AV teams, and project managers to ensure smooth integration with other systems. Prepare as-built documentation, equipment lists, and technical reports for handover. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field. Proven experience in lighting design and installation for professional or large-scale venues.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar electrical/lighting design software. Strong knowledge of lighting control systems, shading solutions, and rigging safety practices. Ability to work independently and manage all phases of the lighting project cycle. Excellent communication skills for client and team coordination. Willingness to work full-time on-site in Addis Ababa. Experience in stage, cinema, or architectural lighting projects is a strong plus.
