You’ll be proactively identifying areas for improvement, escalating through appropriate governance routes and working with others to ensure fit for purpose, client centric solutions. We’ll look to you to provide a technical point of reference to the department on a day-to-day basis, and act as the first point of contact on key issues with associated internal and external businesses.
Day-to-day, You’ll BeDeveloping and maintaining robust automation frameworks to support both functional and non-functional testingCarrying out comprehensive testing activities, including smoke, sanity, and regression testing, to ensure software qualityWorking closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective test coverageExecuting thorough testing of web user interfaces and validate backend data using SQLApplying hands-on experience with automation tools such as UFT One, UI Path, Selenium, or Playwright to streamline testing processesPreparing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and data; execute tests and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycleManaging testing across concurrent project releases, prioritising tasks based on business needs and timelinesSupporting the Test Manager in delivering key testing outputs, including test scripts, test data, and progress reportsProviding feedback on project documentation to support the development of test strategies, plans, and schedulesEstablishing strong relationships across teams to support project delivery and maintain momentum throughout the lifecycleThe skills you'll needTo succeed in this role, you’ll need practical experience of testing design, planning and execution, along with proven application of testing methodologies.
You’ll need strong organisational skills, and the ability to plan and prioritise your workflow effectively.
