Our mission is to empower individuals by fostering personal growth, resilience, and overall well-being.Position OverviewWe are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive NDIS Specialist with expertise in restrictive practices, NDIS compliance, implementation, and enforcement. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting Bright Light Mentoring Service’s compliance efforts, ensuring best practices are followed, and assisting with the development and review of policies related to participant safety and their rights. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping our admin on point, ensuring our team can focus on what they do best—supporting our participants!Key Responsibilities Provide expert guidance on restrictive practices, ensuring they are used ethically, legally, and in line with NDIS guidelines. Support the implementation and monitoring of restrictive practices, ensuring they meet compliance standards. Conduct audits and reviews to ensure adherence to NDIS policies and legislations. Assist with the development, review, and enforcement of policies and procedures related to participant safety and rights. Provide training and support to staff regarding restrictive practices, compliance procedures, and NDIS requirements. Execute and maintain all pertinent data records and updates. Liaise with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, government agencies, and other stakeholders as required. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to restrictive practices and compliance activities. Stay up-to-date with changes in NDIS legislation, policies, and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation for all administrative processes Assist in onboarding new staff by preparing documentation and scheduling training Provide administrative support to Service Delivery Coordinators and Relationship Managers Maintain filing systems and ensure data security and confidentialityQualifications & Experience Previous experience working within the NDIS framework, particularly with restrictive practices, compliance, and enforcement. Strong knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS (Restrictions on Use of Restraint and Seclusion) Rules. Excellent understanding of participant rights, safety protocols, and ethical considerations. Proven ability to develop, implement, and review policies and procedures. Strong communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills. Relevant qualifications in disability support, social work, or related fields are highly regarded. Current valid Driver's License Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check Right to Work within Australia NDIS Worker Orientation Module CertificateSkills & Attributes Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach to compliance challenges. Compassionate and respectful attitude towards individuals with disabilities. Committed to ethical record-keeping and confidentiality. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks.
