As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla.As the NDT Technician, you will utilise your skills to carry out quality inspection and testing to Australian and International standards in order to meet our internal and external customers’ expectations.This role is a Monday to Friday, 38-hour week dayshift role with a Roster Day once a month.What Will You Do?Reporting To The NDT/Boiler & Welding Team Leader, You’ll Provide Technical And Statutory Testing Of Our Plant Equipment And Our Products. You Willensure safety standards are never compromised, making suitable changes when risks and opportunities are identifiedprovide technical support on inspections activities whilst ensuring compliance to our NATA accreditationactively participate in achieving business targets and ensuring operations and inspections are within standardsprepare written technical reports on inspections of equipment and products and continuously strive for business improvementsmaintain your AS ISO 9712 certification or be supported in obtaining this certificationMore About YouWith your previous experience in NDT technical testing, or quality assessment in an industrial operation, you will bring:a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and othersa high level of attention to detail with an analytical approachthe ability to problem-solve by identifying root cause and develop resolutions.We are looking for someone who has or is willing to be trained in AS ISO 9712 / AINDT / PCN level 2 certification in Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic Testing, Dye Penetrant.
