Position SummaryNeoDyne are recruiting a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding Power Generation & Energy Systems team. Experience with Peaking, CCGT, CHP Plants or Embedded Renewables would be highly desirable but not essential as we will provide full training. This position offers flexibility in location and packages options. This role can be offered a contract position or is as a full-time staff position, based at our Cork or Dublin Office. Key ResponsibilitiesProducing PFDs and P&IDs in collaboration with EI&C teams for Gas, Fuel Oil, Lube Oil, Steam, Water, Compressed Air and similar systems. Producing requirement specifications for various mechanical equipment and assemblies (gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs,/boilers, pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers etc. )Completing detailed Piping Design, including 3D piping design, isometrics, system modelling and stress analysis. Process/Piping system flow and pressure modelling. Plant Layout Design - General Arrangements. Preparing coordinated drawings covering all aspects of installations, including mechanical, electrical and structural elements.
Site SurveysConstruction SupportRequiredExperience & Skills Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent3-6 years' experience in a similar position. Experience using 3D BIM/Drawing packages such as Revit MEP, Plant 3D or similarExperience in preparation of coordinated General Arrangement drawings, PFDs, P&IDs and more. Experience with detailed piping design, ideally in Thermal Power Generation industry, using Pipe-Flo, AFT Fathom or related software. Desired Experience with Peaking, CCGT, CHP Plants or Embedded Renewables would be highly desirable but not essential as we will provide full training.
