The Process Engineer will be responsible for Long Range Process Engineering. He/She will provide process technical expertise to support long term process optimization and enhancements, process safety improvements, tool generation and deployment, and develop or support of small to medium sized projects as well as turnarounds. Provide field support and troubleshooting for site operations and technical teams and drive the use of centrally developed/driven tools and initiatives. Provide mentoring to less experienced Process Engineers. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops, maintains and updates process monitoring tools.
Performs detailed Process Engineering DesignDevelops and maintains detailed process simulation models to evaluate designs and operating scenarios. Reviews and improves designs for operability, reliability, and ease of maintenance. Develops and applies process engineering and design principles to deliver high quality and predictable designs on projects.
Supports operations in the areas of process troubleshooting and process improvements to improve plant reliability and increase plant capacityCoordinates and participates in HAZOP studies to manage process safety in the plantDevelops process improvement proposals for project implementation and executionPerforms plant trials for process improvements and for raw material qualificationInitiates and manages capital projectsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in chemical engineering3-10 years of process engineering experience in refinery, petrochemical or chemical industry Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and across functional groups.
Knowledge in Process Design and EngineeringFamiliar with ASME & API codes & standards Knowledge in HAZOP, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and engineering toolsMust have a valid residential status to work in Singapore without a need for visa sponsorship.
