Marketing operates in the full extent of the 4P’s: Product, Price, Place and Promotion and expands beyond that into commercial management and sales steering.

As a Head of Marketing your role will cover marketing communication, brand building, proposition planning, product strategy input, commercial management & business analytics for Nets in Finland with strong ties to Nordic country teams, close collaboration with Nexi Group central teams and information exchange with country teams in DACH, Italy and Central & Eastern Europe. What will you do: You will report to the Country General Manager and lead the local marketing team (7 people), supported by a pool of Nordic marketing resources (14), Nordics & DACH Digital Marketing team (20) and the Nexi Group Merchant Solutions organization.

Act as a key sparring partner to the Country General Manager to co-create the country strategy and co-lead the work of the Finnish Country Leadership Team. Provide input to product roadmap and prioritization, coordinating with regional Chief Product Officer and Group Marketing. Lead the analysis of customer and market data to identify commercial opportunities and threats and to create and execute go-to-market plans to harvest the opportunities and mitigate threats. Define local proposition “packaging” for different customer segments, including positioning, pricing, messaging, communication materials and training of sales and customer service teams.

Drive lead generation and new customer acquisition together with specialized digital marketing and sales teams. Monitor sales and channel performance to support delivery of country sales targets. Provide guidance and steering to sales efforts. Lead the pricing function including establishing pricing insights, defining price points and pricing structures and executing pricing actions for our services. Define and execute country marketing communication plan to support the commercial plan. Own marketing budget planning and management as well as measurement of the impact of marketing. Activate the brand locally including planning and execution of comms and branding activities.

Define local customer lifecycle management strategy and execute scaled customer communication towards smaller customers and close customer engagement including events and fairs towards our large customers and partners to drive customer satisfaction and to optimize customer value. Monitor local customer satisfaction and develop a customer excellence culture with cross-functional partners, such as Customer Service Operations. Be an integrated part of building and developing Group-wide marketing communities. How will you do it:

Influence, engage and build strategic and operational momentum for marketing, communication and brand building in alignment with senior leadership, supported by experts in local and central organizations and guided by market insights. Build a marketing team that is able to take the company forward with quality and pace. Create efficient execution plans to drive tangible commercial results. Strengthen the customer-centric culture in the broader organization. Utilize your skills in creative problem solving, structured way of working, and effective communication to manage change and lead transformation in the organization.

Experience that will make you successful in this role: Strong leadership experience and clear track record of driving commercial impact through strategic and operational execution. Ability to process complex information and generate data-driven insights and solutions. Proven ability to develop, evolve and optimise effective 4P (and beyond) marketing strategy and value propositions – with experience on how great customer-centric products/services are made and deployed. Significant track record of successful leadership in a complex, multi-national and diverse matrix environment.

Fluency in English and Finnish is essential, fluency in other European languages can be an advantage. Knowledge of payments or related industries including insights, key trends, merchant and customer behaviours and B2B marketing disciplines is highly valued.
