Network Engineer - Freelance / Dispatch

Task Title: Datacenter CleanupLocation: Pomona, Johannesburg, South AfricaDate: 1st, 2nd, 3rd November Details:UPS ReplacementReplace the existing UPS in the data room (approx. 10 years old).Ensure the new UPS supports the current load and provides sufficient backup time.Test the UPS post-installation for proper operation and load handling.Cable CleanupOrganize all network and power cables in the data room and office areas.Label all cables for easy identification.Ensure proper cable management to prevent hazards and improve airflow.ISP Router ReplacementCoordinate with the ISP for the replacement of their existing router with a new device.Verify the configuration of the new router.Test connectivity and internet speed after the replacement.Ensure uninterrupted network access for all users during the switchover.End-User Connectivity TestingTest network connections for all end users in the Johannesburg office.Check access to internal resources (servers, applications, printers).Document any connectivity issues and resolve or escalate as required.Skills / Requirements:Experience with UPS installation and maintenance.Network cabling and cable management skills.Basic knowledge of ISP routers and network troubleshooting.Ability to test and verify end-user connectivity efficiently.
