Job Summary – Network Engineer (IPv6 Design & Deployment)Location: Alpharetta, GA Lead the design, planning, and implementation of the company’s first IPv6 proof of concept (PoC) through to production. Design and document IPv6 addressing strategies, routing protocols, and transition techniques. Configure, test, and troubleshoot Cisco (NXOS, IOSXE, IOSXR) and Arista (EOS) network devices for IPv6 functionality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, platform testing) to validate IPv6 design decisions and ensure operational readiness. Provide subject matter expertise on IPv6 across both enterprise and public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) environments. Develop runbooks, standard operating procedures, and training materials for team education and readiness. Ensure IPv6 solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements. Stay up to date with IPv6 standards, industry trends, and best practices. Lead and mentor other engineers, acting as a technical advisor and driving technical initiatives with minimal oversight. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
