Position: Network EngineerLocation: Textilna 1835/4, 040 12 Košice, SlovakiaRoles and ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Cisco switches and related network infrastructure.Manage Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, and BGP.Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring stability and minimal downtime.Implement and maintain network security policies and best practices.Coordinate with global and local IT teams for incident management and troubleshooting.Support data center operations, including rack setup, cabling, and cooling systems.Maintain accurate network documentation, topology diagrams, and inventory.Participate in capacity planning, system upgrades, and hardware refresh projects.Provide technical guidance and support for infrastructure-related initiatives.ExperienceTotal Experience: 5–8 years in enterprise networking.Relevant Experience: 5–8 years of hands-on experience with Cisco switch installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.Mandatory SkillsStrong hands-on experience with Cisco switches and routing technologies.In-depth knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP).Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Desired SkillsExperience in data center operations, including rack setup, structured cabling, and cooling systems.Exposure to IT facility devices (UPS, access control, monitoring tools, etc.).Familiarity with network monitoring tools and documentation platforms.Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA/CCNP) is an added advantage.
