Network Expert / Network Security Expert

Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their Network Expert / Network Security Expert @ Remote working (Romania)Experience Required : Strong background in Cisco Firepower Firewall (ASA experience is a plus)Additional skills (a BIG plus): Aruba ClearPass, Forcepoint, Algosec, Ubika WAFAs a network expert, you will be the technical reference for the industrialization, automation, and evolution of IDEMIA’s network security infrastructure. You will be involved in design, optimization, and resolution of complex issues across all deployed solutions.Advanced Support and Consulting:Assist internal users in defining and building filtering rules.Industrialize major changes (e.g., full site opening/closure, adapting rules across all firewalls).Automation and Scripting:Create, maintain, and use scripts to automate recurring tasks (rules, configurations, etc.).Advanced Firewall Management:Expertise in Cisco ASA/Firepower (mandatory), advanced management via FMC.Clean up and optimize Forcepoint configurations, prepare logical segmentation between divisions.Complementary Solutions Management:Correct Algosec configurations (routing, adding segments, baselines).Advanced management of Ubika WAF tunnels (duplication, adaptation, certificate renewal, migration follow-up, troubleshooting).Analyze, propose, and implement changes to Aruba ClearPass (cleanup, evolving authentication configuration).Documentation and Technical Reference:Update documentation, serve as a single point of contact for certain topics.Contribute to the infrastructure evolution strategy.Technical training or equivalent professional experience.Expertise in Cisco ASA/Firepower (mandatory).Experience with Forcepoint, Aruba, Algosec, Ubika WAF is a plus.Ability to industrialize, automate, and optimize processes.Leadership, analytical mindset, and proactive approach.If this sounds like a role you would be interested in or if you know someone in this field.Connect with me or email me at nagamani.y@smartedgesolutions.co.ukAlternatively, you can call me on Tel: +44(0)203 500 2108.
