Network Manager (Based in Yangon, Myanmar)

Overview The Network Manager will oversee and manage the entire network infrastructure of our organization. This role focuses on strategic planning, design, implementation, and operational oversight to ensure network reliability, security, and performance. The Network Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives without direct management of engineering staff. Key Responsibilities • Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. • Strategic Planning and Design: Develop and execute strategic network plans, including designing network architecture to meet current and future business needs. • Implementation Oversight: Coordinate and manage the implementation of network solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time and within specifications. • Network Optimization: Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to optimize efficiency and reliability. • Security Management: Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and compliance with industry standards. • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers for network hardware, software, and services to support infrastructure goals. • Incident Management: Lead troubleshooting and resolution of network issues, coordinating with relevant teams to minimize downtime and ensure rapid recovery. • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive network documentation and provide detailed reports on network performance, projects, and improvements to leadership. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, security, and business teams to align network infrastructure with organizational objectives. • Technology Evaluation: Stay current on emerging network technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure design and performance. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience: 5+ years of experience in network administration or management, with a proven track record in planning, designing, and implementing complex network infrastructure. • Technical Skills: o Expertise in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). o Proficiency with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba) and software (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark). o Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and tools. • Certifications: Preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent. • Soft Skills: o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. o Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. o Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
