Network Operation Center (NOC) Manager – Flash Charging【NL】

(Job Location: Hoofdorp,the Netherlands)The NOC Manager will establish and lead BYD’s Network Operation Center, ensuring the Flash Charging network maintains best-in-class uptime and performance. The role oversees real-time monitoring, incident management, coordination with internal teams (Service, Quality, R&D), and alignment with external partners (telecom, payment providers, site hosts). The NOC Manager also defines requirements for BYD’s NOC cloud platform, collaborating with R&D to develop new monitoring and diagnostic capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesNOC Setup & LeadershipBuild and manage BYD’s NOC, defining processes, SLAs, KPIs, and escalation paths.Recruit, train, and lead NOC Operators.Ensure continuous, high-quality coverage and standardized operating procedures.Real-Time Monitoring & Incident ResponseOversee real-time monitoring of chargers, BESS, connectivity, and site infrastructure.Detect and respond to faults, performance drops, telecom outages, and payment failures.Ensure accurate incident logging, documentation, and timely escalations.Cross-Functional & External CoordinationCoordinate incident resolution with Service, Field Maintenance, Quality, and R&D teams.Manage communication with telecom providers, roaming/payment partners, and site hosts.Drive fast issue resolution to minimize downtime and customer impact.Performance ManagementDeliver top-tier KPIs: plug-in success rate, charging session success, uptime, and connectivity.Analyze network data, identify recurring issues, and implement preventive actions.Publish periodic performance reports and dashboards.NOC Platform & Cloud EnvironmentWork with R&D to define requirements for monitoring tools, alarm management, telemetry, and diagnostic features.Contribute to new functionalities that enhance visibility, automation, and predictive maintenance.RequirementsMust-Have5+ years experience in NOC operations, service operations, or monitoring of mission-critical infrastructure (EV charging, telecom, cloud, energy systems).Experience running or scaling a 24/7 operations team.Strong understanding of connectivity, cloud-based monitoring systems, telemetry, and remote diagnostics.Excellent coordination and communication skills for multi-stakeholder incident management.Data-driven approach with strong KPI analysis capability.Nice-to-HaveExperience in EV charging operations (OCPP, roaming, payment flows).Knowledge of EV chargers, BESS and LV electrical equipment operation and remote diagnostics.Experience collaborating with R&D on platform or software requirements.
