The role of a Network Security Engineer is responsible for the Operational Support aspects of the production network Security environment which includes all aspects of the corporate Firewalls, Proxies and Intrusion Protection & Detection and DDOS capabilities. This includes supporting applications moves to the cloud and compartmentation of network segmentation and policies on Cloud and On-Prem. The role reports to the Global Head of Network Engineering. The candidate will work closely with a mixture of Internal and External resources. The successful candidate will require extensive experience in multinational environments and with the specific technologies used to deliver the associated services. This is a technical position requiring both strong technical knowledge in conjunction with demonstration of ownership.Responsibilities:Participate in the definition of the strategy for the global network and telecommunications security servicesParticipate in the technical evolution of the Network security infrastructure through collaboration with key stakeholders and partners, looking for cost efficiency and effective use of innovationContribute to the development of the Network Security technology roadmap, that can be subsequently referenced at a global level and used to standardize delivery of solutions within global networkWork with key stakeholders to ensure an appropriate communication strategy is implemented and maintained to drive the collaboration and understanding of the architectural vision, roadmaps and blueprintsSupport the Global Architecture Community to research appropriate new technologies and build proof of concept environments to demonstrate the proposed solution(s) meet or exceed expectations based on clearly stated requirementsEnsure the on-going development of skills within the Global Network function, and influence the development of opportunities for the Global Network Security CommunityResponsible for high-level design documents ( HLD ) for all associated network security technologiesResponsible for the development and continued updated of all global network security design standardsEnsure alignment with the application architecture teamsEnsure compliance with internal audit, IT Risk and Security and regulatory requirementsRequirements:Proven Technical capability in the field of Network Security Experience of working as part of a Global functionTechnical expertise with Fortinet, Cisco and CheckPointTechnical networking ability to design Network Security environments , Tools, etc. Experience with multiple Firewall and Proxy platforms such as Zscaler, Cisco, Azure, NSX-T, Fortinet and CheckpointVendor management for production hardware lifecycleAvailability tracking and technical elimination of project incidents / challengesWork with Business and Data Centre Transformation program teams for information gathering and schedulingAbility to shift workload / priorities as required by transformation programAbility to translate port / protocol traffic flows to documented security policy / risk Technical competencies around Data Routing & SwitchingTooling in an enterprise network Operational/cost-effective mindset Proven capabilities in developing/maintaining network security architecture and strategy in global enterprisesHigh-level knowledge of financial Management and Budget ControlIn-depth understanding of Network Security technologies (FW, IDS/IPS, DLP, WAF, SASE/SSE…) and associated principal vendors (Cisco, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, VMware….)Broad range of understanding of ITIL, ITSM and industry best practicesAbility to understand and translate regulatory and compliance needs into technical requirements and projectsPerks And Benefits We value your time and lifestyle preferences, so you can choose whether you want to work entirely remotely or from our offices in Cluj-Napoca, Oradea and Bucharest.
