Network Security Engineer - CISCO ACILocation: UtrechtType: FreelanceWe’re seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with a strong background in Cisco ACI and automation to join our hybrid team in Utrecht. You’ll play a key role in both day-to-day network operations and strategic project delivery, helping to maintain and evolve a secure, high-performing enterprise network.What you’ll do:Manage and support complex Cisco ACI infrastructures, ensuring high availability and optimal performanceContribute to network integrations, migrations, and upgrades across data centre environmentsImplement network automation using Ansible, streamlining deployment and configuration processesOversee network security, including segmentation, policy enforcement, and traffic control within ACIPerform change management activities and ensure compliance with operational standardsTroubleshoot and resolve network issues, providing escalation support when neededParticipate in a standby rotation (1 week every 7 weeks) to support critical incidentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, scalable network solutionsWhat we’re looking for:Proven hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and related Cisco networking technologiesStrong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, segmentation, and access controlProficiency in Ansible or other network automation toolsExcellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative approachFluent in English (spoken and written)Please apply immediately if you are interested in the opportunity and could be a good match for the role!
