Network & Security Engineer (Homebased)

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a senior-level Network & Security Engineer to take ownership of our FortiGate and UniFi infrastructure across multiple sites. This person will modernize and standardize our firewall policies, improve security, setup proper alerts and support ongoing networking projects. This is a hands-on role that requires deep expertise in networking, security, and documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and optimize FortiGate firewall configurations across 7 sitesDesign and manage VPNs, VLANs, firewall policies, and security rulesManage UniFi network infrastructure (switches, access points, controller)Implement and maintain Auvik or similar network monitoring solutionsCreate detailed network documentation, including topology maps and SOPsProvide escalation support for complex network/security issuesRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience with network engineering and securityStrong hands-on knowledge of FortiGate firewalls (VPNs, policies, segmentation)Experience with UniFi switches, APs, and controller setupComfortable with CLI, troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, traceroute, etc.)Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and domain-integrated networksAble to work independently and proactively improve security posturePreferred (Not Required)Experience with Auvik or other network monitoring platformsFamiliarity with IT documentation platforms (IT Glue, Confluence)Certifications: Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or CCNA/SecurityAdditional InformationHomebased, must have at least 25mbps internet connectionM to F, 11pm to 8am Manila Time
