Network Security Engineer

Location: Jakarta (Full WFO)Client: Banking IndustryProject 5 Month - ExtendableEducation & Certification:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent is highly preferred.• Additional certifications in network security (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Juniper JNCIS) are a plus.Experience:• 3–5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in banking or financial institutions.• Experience with secure network design and implementation in regulated environments.Technical Skills:• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).• Experience with enterprise-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).• Familiarity with SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and network segmentation.• Understanding of network security principles and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).• Experience with network monitoring and performance tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).• Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation and reporting are a plus.Soft Skills:• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.• Good communication and documentation abilities.• Team player with a proactive attitude.Responsibilities:• Maintain and optimize the bank’s network infrastructure across branches and data centers.• Ensure high availability and security of network services.• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and monitor network security controls.• Support audits and compliance reviews related to network infrastructure.• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
