Job Description

Be the driver behind expansion decisions that shape where millions of South Africans shop, dine, and interact with some of the country’s most iconic brands. This is a high-impact, data-driven role where your property expertise and analytical skills will directly influence growth across the Free State, Northern Cape, and Lesotho. You’ll work independently, bridging landlords, franchisees, and internal teams to turn insights into tangible results while identifying prime sites and negotiating leases that fuel brand success. The company behind this opportunity is a leader in the quick-service and casual dining space, boasting a portfolio of well-loved brands that dominate their categories. With thousands of outlets across South Africa and several other countries, they combine operational excellence, a strong supply chain, and a commitment to growth that creates exciting opportunities for ambitious professionals. The role of New Business Manager is not about managing store construction, but about strategically expanding the brand footprint. You’ll identify and secure sites in non-traditional locations, analyze consumer and demographic data using GIS and other tools, and guide franchisees on relocations and lease negotiations. Acting as a key liaison between landlords, developers, and internal teams, you’ll compile reports, establish rollout schedules, and ensure every site contributes to long-term growth. The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience in retail or commercial property, ideally working with major landlords, developers, or within large retail property teams. A proven track record in negotiating leases, coupled with strong financial acumen and the ability to turn data into actionable insights, is essential. You are a relationship builder who thrives on collaboration, able to navigate complex stakeholder networks with ease, and highly organized in managing multiple priorities. A BCom, Property Science, or related degree is preferred, but an outstanding career with demonstrable achievements in retail property or business growth will also stand out. This role offers the chance to make a visible impact, take ownership of a regional growth pipeline, and contribute to the expansion of some of South Africa’s most iconic brands. If you’re driven, strategic, and excited by the challenge of shaping new business opportunities, this could be the role for you.
