This entry-level position is the perfect opportunity for an eager candidate to get hands-on experience in the industry. You will be responsible for inspecting new inventory, identifying any factory defects or transport damage, and ensuring every truck is delivered in top condition. With access to on-the-job training and real-world experience, you can build the foundation to advance into roles like body shop technician, painter, service technician, and more.If you’re motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to prove yourself, this is your chance to start strong and grow with us!Key ResponsibilitiesPerform cosmetic repairs on heavy-duty commercial trucks.Utilize hand or power tools to remove, repair, or replace damaged components.Work with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, glass, and mechanical components.Conduct truck delivery check-ins and inspections.Conduct thorough pre-deliver inspections (PDI) to determine necessary repairs, ensuring all work aligns with safety and quality standards.Accurately document and communicate all findings with the service advisor.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and in good condition.Comply with all safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, hazardous waste disposal procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.Participate in training programs, including OEM-sponsored courses and professional development opportunities, to stay current with industry advancements.Ensure customer vehicles are returned or delivered in excellent condition with a focus on cleanliness and quality workmanship.Qualifications & SkillsMinimal experience is required but mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are preferred.Ability to read and interpret repair orders, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as needed.Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., with frequent standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, climbing, and other physical tasks required.Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all regulatory guidelines.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Automotive or heavy equipment training or experience is a plus.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.At Kriete Truck Centers, our commitment to customer satisfaction coupled with a strong workplace culture focused on excellence are the pillars of our success.
