The core responsibility of the Site Superintendent role is to assist Site Manager(s) in managing newbuilding activities at the yard and to ensure the safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of vessels according to specification. Through this, you will learn every aspect of newbuilding project execution - from inspections and quality control to stakeholder management and vessel delivery. As you progress, you will gain hands-on experience and take on increasing responsibility, preparing you for future Site Manager roles.Assignments take place in various parts of the world (e.g., China, Türkiye, Brazil, Oman, India) and typically last between one and three years, with home leave options.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will support the Site Manager(s) and be part of the team, supporting the day-to-day operations on site, including:Conducting daily inspections of blocks, hull, and tug construction.Contributing to ensuring vessels are built according to specification, quality, and schedule.Supporting communication with Regions and other stakeholders throughout the build.Preparing reports, VOs,and MOSs.Coordinating plan reviews with the ship designer, yard, plan approval office, and Class.Attending FAT tests as required.Supporting vessel delivery and documentation.Maintaining project records and preparing operation manuals.Participating in shipyard or supplier inspections as required.Contributing to continuous improvement of specifications, innovation, and cost optimization.Who We Are Looking ForYou may come from a variety of technical backgrounds - what matters most is your curiosity, sense of responsibility, and willingness to learn. Ideally, you have knowledge of electrical installations on vessels — this would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement.Overall, We Will Look For Someone WithFluency in English, spoken and written.Knowledge of electrical systems or installations on vessels.A marine technical background or experience as an Engineer with tugs or smaller vessels, from a shipyard, classification society, or owner.More Specifically, You AreCurious, proactive, and eager to learn.Responsible and comfortable taking ownership of complex issues.Respectful and collaborative, yet confident working independently.Skilled at communication and stakeholder management in multicultural environments.Adventurous and open to taking assignments in remote locations — sometimes working independently on site.If this development opportunity sounds like the right next step for you, please send us your CV and application at your earliest convenience before the deadline.
