You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the implementation and strategic management of all Children, Youth and Families Ministry.What Will Your Responsibilities BeCollaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for the achievement of effective outcomes for young people, children and families across the wider city of HamiltonWorks to identify, recruit and establish a team to serve in next-generation ministry across the Hamilton City Salvation Army's various programmes and outreachesIdentify, recruit, and train a diverse team in carrying out ministries that aim to engage children, youth and familiesWork alongside Corps Officers to respond to the needs of the communities and build programs that meet holistic needsSupport of existing ministry leaders in Youth and Children, helping provide mission deliveryOversee the implementation of all programs in relation to children, youth and families.Our Ideal Candidate Will HaveAt least three years' experience working with children, youth or families' ministriesExperience working in Salvation Army services and mission expressionsDemonstrated understanding of the complex issues experienced by children and young people, particularly from inter-cultural backgroundsExperience in communication vision and implementing strategies to achieve clear objectivesKnowledge of child development and ability and experience in developing and delivering individual and group work sessions to children and parents would be highly regardedCurrent First Aid Certification or willingness to undertake training for itA willingness to undergo Keeping Children Safe checks and policy trainingOur Offer To YouAn additional working week of Salvation Army leave awarded annually on 1 JulyFree confidential counselling services to support your wellbeingSubsidised flu vaccinationsDiscounted Medical Insurance with Southern CrossTSA discount card for discount with various retailersCandidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society'This role is permanent full-time, and hours worked will be 37.5 per week.
