Healthcare Support Worker

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1. 15 million and a wider population of 2. 2 million when our regional and national services are included. We have an exciting opportunity within Specialist Children Services for a Band 3 HCSW Additional Support for Learning Schools to join our team. This is a permanent post 18hrs/week, pro rata, Term Time.

Hours to be worked over 3 days, these days are negotiable with the successful candidate. Your goal is to provide an accessible, appropriate, culturally sensitive, safe, person centred and effective service for children, young people and families in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies. Driving Licence is essential. Previous experience of working with Children and Young People in a community setting is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication skills and a working knowledge of IT such as Word are essential. SVQ Level 111 desirable in a relevant setting.
