Job Description

Assistant Commissioning ManagerHours: 37 hours per weekLocation: Baird and ANCHOR Project Office, Rosehill AnnexeBand: 7Contract: Fixed Term/Secondment for 18 monthsThe Baird and ANCHOR Project is looking for a dynamic person to join the team in the role of Assistant Commissioning Manager. This project is in the final stages of the construction of two new facilities on the Foresterhill Health Campus – The Baird Family Hospital and The ANCHOR Centre. What is the job?The postholder will play a key role in the planning and delivery of successful operational commissioning of these new facilities.

Duties Will Includenominated lead for both facilities regarding the development of the Business Continuity Plans, Fire Plans and Security Procedures in partnership with Operational Service Leadsdelegated lead on specific non-clinical areas eg Soft Facilities Management acting as Chair of working groupsassist in the detailed planning involving clinical moves and part of the success of these plans will be reliant on substantial engagement with patients and staff. The ideal candidate will have relevant service/clinical experience with excellent organisational and communication skills.

Experience of commissioning would be advantageous but is not as essential as the ability to work effectively with all services moving to the new facilities to put detailed planning in place. Specific priorities will be agreed with the person at appointment, dependant on relevant experience and skills. This will be a very busy and challenging role which will require the successful person to be hard-working and resilient and able to work well with all colleagues and external agencies.
