An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services on a permanent basis for an enthusiastic and motivated community dietitian with an interest in substance misuse and mental health. Applicants should be a dietitian registered with the HCPC with experience or interest in working within a complex community-based care setting. Applicants should be able to evidence their continuing professional development with an emphasis on alcohol / drug / mental health related care and demonstrate a strong desire to practice within a community alcohol and drug recovery service.
The post holder will work within an ADRS dietetic team of 3 WTE dietitians and as part of the wider ADRS multi-disciplinary team. They will have responsibility for managing the community caseload, providing dietetic assessments, person centred treatment and care planning to service users within the Glasgow City ADRS service. The successful candidate will develop and provide training for other healthcare and social care professionals, linking with city wide services. The post-holder will provide dietetic cover for two ADRS inpatient wards (ErIskay House, Stobhill Hospital & the Kershaw Unit, Gartnavel Royal Hospital) when required.
Applicants should be able to clearly demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to fulfil the main duties and responsibilities as outlined within the job description. The base for this post will be confirmed and agreed with the successful candidate on appointment.
