Job Description

Job SummaryThe outpatients department is looking to recruit a nurse to work in the outpatients clinic. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day nursing support of the clinic, assist in procedures and provide support and reassurance to patients attending the clinic. The successful applicant will be encouraged to further knowledge and skills in the area of outpatient nursing.

To maintain effective communicationTo take charge of the department in the absence of senior nursing staff following performance appraisal review. Provide support to the clinical nurse specialists in the various outpatient clinics. Assist in carrying out Health & Safety, Fire and hand Hygiene audits as required. Support the Health Care Assistants and assess their competence where necessary.
