Night Duty Manager

About the RoleJoin the team at Gora Kadan, a world-renowned ryokan in Hakone recognized with 3 Michelin Keys and a proud member of Relais & Châteaux. We are seeking a Night Duty Manager to ensure exceptional service and guest comfort during night hours. You will work in a two-person rotation system as a key representative of the property overnight. Responsibilities• Front desk operations• Facility patrols and security checks• Telephone handling and guest inquiries• Assistance with room service and general guest needs• Other related duties such as organizing public bath areasYou will have many opportunities to communicate with international guests, using English daily in your role. Requirements• Proficient in both English and Japanese• Experience in the hospitality industry• Team-oriented and proactive communication skills What We Offer• Monthly Salary: ¥290,000–¥320,000 (Includes fixed overtime and night allowance; extra hours paid separately), with biannual bonuses paid in July and in December• Benefits: Staff dormitory available (with partial cost) / Meal allowance provided• Work Schedule: Shift system (19:00–07:00 or 20:00–08:00, alternating), 4 days on, 2 days off• Annual holidays: 121 days Work LocationGora 1300, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan (Hakone area) The Spirit of Hospitality at NightEven during the quiet night hours, you will have many opportunities to express genuine hospitality — offering comfort, care, and reassurance to guests who value the serenity of our ryokan.
