This is initially a 9-month temporary position with a strong potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs. Overview of the role: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Brand Manager to join the APAC regional team at No7 Beauty Company, a division of Walgreens Boots Alliance. You will primarily focus supporting on our skincare & cosmetics brand, No7, across APAC markets; implementing marketing plans, support on our APAC NPD pipeline, claims and marketing assets.
Collaborating within our marketing team and with customers and retail partners and working closely with cross-functional teams – ensuring the delivery of set plans. About the opportunity: You will support the delivery of the No7 brand / marketing plans across the APAC markets, ensuring consistency with brand principles, local relevancy, and delivery against the set KPIs (as growing market share, deliver against offtake/ sales target, marketing metrics, ROAS)Support the development of media/ digital/ PR plans & mange the execution of those plans – deliver against set metrics & constantly improve its performance. Manage the localization of marketing assets across APAC markets.
Deep dive on APAC product / marketing landscape, to support input to global initiatives and product development to ensure claims needs are met for APAC markets. Build strong partnerships with local retailers and marketing teams, and partner with commercial and category teams supporting delivery of the JBPs/ 360 degree brand/marketing plans, supporting local initiatives / campaigns delivery, brand’s look & feel in store and digitally/ VM, education across diverse touch points.
Work in close collaboration with No7 local marketing teams / retailer teams in different APAC markets, our external agencies, and the global marketing team in the UK, driving strong relationships to support brilliant execution of the brand across APAC. Collaborate with the category team to conduct market analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and threats, and use these insights to inform strategic decisions and marketing plans. Implement / Monitor KPIs to track efficiency of marketing investment optimizing deliverables against set targets, and continuously improving spend. Promote marketing excellence across the region.
Track and measure the performance of marketing initiatives, providing actionable insights to optimize future initiatives. Support the marketing team & collaborate with the commercial team to regularly re-forecast deliverables, assess risks and opportunities, and take actions to ensure alignment with the budget. Lead regular performance reviews and reporting, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management to drive continuous improvement. About you Minimum +3 years of marketing experience in consumer, beauty/ skin products, with experience in local marketing functional and preferably experience in APAC regional role.
Know-how in marketing and experience working with international teams in the fields of product, brand, advertising (ATL/BTL). Experience in marketing planning, communications, and activations, including regionalization and localization of assets. Experienced in managing marketing budgets effectively, and continuously improving deliverables. Knowledge of digital marketing, working with media/ digital/ PR agencies. Understanding of consumer insights and behaviours, insight-driven initiative development. Strong analytical skills and a structured approach. Lead operational activities and set measures/ KPIs. Self-driven, take on responsibilities, set priorities, and deliver against. “Can-do” attitude.
Communicator with influencing skills and the ability to work in a highly matrixed organization and cross-functional teams, including external agencies (agency management). Commercial acumen to understand retail partners’ businesses. Demonstrate relationship management skills across internal and external stakeholders. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working with different teams across various markets and time zones. Bachelor’s degree or above. Fluent in both spoken and written English. Genuine passion for the brand No7 and the skin care category. Experienced in Australia and/or Southeast Asia markets is a plus.
Experience with design programs, and make small adaptations is a plus.
